Rhythm Of Rain (Bangkok, 4th - 27th April 2024)
My solo exhibition with Balcony Space in Bangkok invites viewers on an emotional journey using the rainy beach as a poignant symbol. Through art, I explore the depths of sadness, offering solace to those who resonate with similar feelings.
The first stage delves into internal emotions, highlighting how we often bottle up our feelings, even while sometimes putting on a happy facade. This is expressed through digital illustrations with hand-drawn outlines, blending the organic and the digital to convey emotional depth
In the next stage, I created a series of paintings to represent reflection, capturing the moment when we must confront our feelings—both the positive and the negative
For the final stage of the exhibition, I created a large-scale animated loop that explores Carphasis—the point at which we can no longer suppress our emotions. The animation illustrates how this release impacts both the people around us and our surroundings.
Collaborating with the space designers at Balcony Space, we crafted an immersive environment that conveyed sorrowful emotions through light and music, setting the tone of the exhibition. My hope was that viewers would find solace in knowing they are not alone in their feelings, as I openly shared my own emotional journey through the work.
Seed Magazeen Issue #10 (group exhibition) ~ (Brighton, 30th Septemeber 2022)I was invited by Lizzie Lomax and Jack Snelling to contribute to the 10th Issue group exhibition for Seed Magazeen. All alumni who had previously created work for the magazine were asked to participate, with each design being screenprinted by Michael Driver in a two-color print. My piece celebrates the deep connection we share with nature in every aspect of our lives. Each print is available for sale here, with a portion of the profits going to charity.
